Week 1 – Sir Python

Knights of the Road – Week 1 (Photovoice submission for Sir Python)

How did what happened change your life, at home and at work?

This picture is of the only accident i have been in since 1971, 45 years and about 4 million miles. The lessons I learned from wrecking my truck in 1971 kept me safe all thst time.

This guy snuck up beside me on the shoulder and tried to cut in on me, I never even saw him under that big Peterbilt hood.

  1. I have thought a lot about this and have said before that before a new driver gets there first license they should have to spend a day maybe a week in a big truck see what we see daily. I don’t know how many things I see people do on a daily basis that makes me cringe as I know what can happen or the attitude of it’s got 18 wheels or more it can stop faster then me.

  2. I agree with sir Josy if people would relies how many time trucker take action that saved there life people would not cut trucks off hang in there

  3. I hate to admit it but it did start to get funny when the first thing the guy screamed at me was”You’re the fourth effing truck driver that hit me this year”. not much to say to that

    1. I would’ve reply something like learn to drive or look around you and put your f****** phone away. It is disrespectful that we get the blame. But sadly I got say, not all truckers knows how to drive. And everyone that drive realize that a car I also a weapon if you don’t drive property!!
